Solidarity Library – 2nd edition
Categories: News
After a well succeeded 1st edition, we are now launching the 2nd edition of the “Solidarity Library”, aiming, once more, at promoting the exchange of books amongst members of the UFP community and capture some documentary offerings.
If you are interested in participating, you can leave your books in any of our libraries, between November 26 and January 10.
Participation requirements:
All book deliveries will be confirmed by a statement containing the following information: participant’s identification, telephone number, e-mail and titles of the books delivered.
All members of the UFP are welcome to deliver books and select others in corresponding number, being the sole demands that the material is in a good state of preservation and that they are not school books, dictionaries or encyclopaedias.
In case there aren’t, in the corresponding places, books of the interest of who is making the exchange, that person receives a voucher which may be used as long as the solidarity initiative takes place.
After the event, and with due consent from the owners, the books that remain in the “Solidarity Library” will be integrated in the UFP Libraries, in the Hospital School’s Reading Room or offered by the University to deprived institutions, through book collection campaigns.
