The Fernando Pessoa Foundation Libraries and the virtuous Literacidades have started the project Hora Absurda Leituras Conjuntas [Absurd Hour Joint Readings], the hour dedicated to Literature.
With the aim of encouraging the community to share the experiences, emotions and thoughts that come from reading a wide variety of books, it is also a good excuse to bring together students, teachers and literature enthusiasts.

The 1st Absurd Hour took place at the Álvaro de Campos Specialized Library and was dedicated to the life and work of our patron, Fernando Pessoa.
It was an informal talk between Nadine Rombert Trigo, Pro-Rector for Institutional Development and International Relations at University Fernando Pessoa and Álvaro Cúria and Ludgero Cardoso, creators of Literacidades.
Participants were asked to read a poem, short story, book or biographical text about the author beforehand.

The 2nd Hora Absurda took place at the Fernando Pessoa Library and was dedicated to Chico Buarque.
To talk about Chico Buarque is also to read him, sing him and listen to him.
One of the best-known Brazilian singers, he is also a key figure in Lusophone literature, winner of the Camões Prize in 2019.
Patricia Weber, a lecturer at UFP, moderated a session that included Marlúcio Arruda, Klaryne Rodrigues and Sthênyo Cavalcante and, of course, Álvaro Cúria and Ludgero Cardoso, creators of Literacidades.
We would like to thank Mr. Paulo Muccillo Torino for the photo report, and Álvaro Curia’s Portuguese as a Foreign Language students for their participation.
