[Portugal] Special session – Maximising the impact of your research with ORCID (21 July 2026, 14:00–15:00 in Lisbon)

Session led by Paloma Marín-Arraiza, Director of Engagement at ORCID

In this webinar, we will present ORCID from a comprehensive perspective, analysing in detail the structure of the record and its strategic value. Discover how this unique digital identity raises the profile of researchers’ work and optimises scientific management within institutions. In addition, we will present the key benefits of integrating ORCID with Clarivate to automate the updating of publications and peer reviews, thereby enhancing researchers’ global profiles

[Portugal] Session D5 – 2026 Edition of the Journal Citation Reports (22 July 2026, 14:00–15:00 in Lisbon)

The Journal Citation Reports (JCR) provides bibliometric information on the 20,000 academic journals included in the multidisciplinary Web of Science Core Collection database.

[Portugal] Session C3 – Identifying areas of excellence using Essential Science Indicators (23 July 2026, 14:00–15:00 in Lisbon)

Session led by Anne Delgado in Portuguese, with materials in English

Essential Science Indicators is a bibliometric tool that classifies data from the Web of Science Core Collection across 21 different disciplines to identify publications with the greatest academic impact (Highly Cited Papers and Hot Papers).

Learning objectives:

  • Introduction to Essential Science Indicators
  • Identifying centres and/or areas with the greatest academic impact
  • Discovering emerging topics with Research Fronts
