What is open access?

It is the open availability on the internet of:

• articles from peer-reviewed scientific journals;
• academic and scientific publications (papers at conferences, theses and dissertations, technical reports, …);
• research data;
• educational resources to use in the classroom.

Po-ex.net
The Po-ex.net – Digital Archive of Portuguese Experimental Literature is coordinated by Prof. Rui Torres, teacher at University Fernando Pessoa, and intends to collect, classify and reproduce, in digital formats, visual and sound poetry, video poetry, happenings and cybernetic literature, preserving the experimentalist literary heritage.

• Arquivo LdoD: It is a collaborative digital archive of the Book of Disquiet by Fernando Pessoa. It contains images of the autograph documents, new transcriptions of those documents and also transcriptions of four editions of the work. enables users to collaborate in creating virtual editions of the Book of Disquiet.
• Arquivo Pessoa: Database of most of Pessoan work, with text search.
• Arquivo RTP: Collection of programs about the life and work of Fernando Pessoa.

Arquivo.pt
Arquivo.pt is a research infrastructure that allows searching and accessing web pages archived since 1996. The main objective is the preservation of information published on the web for research purposes.

BCcampus Open Education
The BCcampus Open Education hosts and maintains the B.C. Open Textbook Collection which contains many high quality resources selected for post-secondary curricula in British Columbia and Canada.

Dictionary of rhymes
This dictionary is in Brazilian Portuguese and wants to help those who write poems or compose songs and need to look up words with specific endings.

DOAB – Directory of Open Access Books
Scholarly, peer-reviewed open access books.

Europeana
Platform that brings together European archives, libraries and museums, providing access to millions of digitized items. It also offers special themed collections on art, fashion, music, photography and World War I.

Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian
It makes freely available titles of works it has edited that it considers fundamental to Portuguese culture, university teaching and knowledge in general.

Fundação Francisco Manuel dos Santos
It promotes studies in several areas, elaborates analyses on selected topics (environment, science, culture, rights and duties, economy, education, justice, politics, population, social issues, health), publishes the results, formulates recommendations, and fosters public discussion on the subjects that are the object of its work.

Institutional Repository
Place where the scientific production of University Fernando Pessoa and Higher School of Health Fernando Pessoa’s academic community is stored. The IR helps to share and promote scientific knowledge, enhances its visibility and preserves intellectual memory.
It is integrated in RCAAP.

RCAAP
RCAAP (Open Access Scientific Repositories of Portugal) is an aggregating portal that collects, aggregates and indexes scientific content in open or free access, that exist in the institutional repositories of national higher education entities, data repositories and scientific journals, as well as other R&D organizations in Portugal.
It also allows searching the Brazilian scientific production in repositories and journals aggregated in OASISBR (Brazilian Portal for scientific publications in open access).

RTP Arquivos
The RTP Arquivos portal is an online public access platform to the audiovisual archives of the Portuguese public radio and television service, which provides content from the 1930s to the present day.

SARC
SARC (Portuguese Scientific Journals Hosting Service) is available within the scope of the RCAAP project and has hosted “Antropológicas”, one of the oldest journals of University Fernando Pessoa.
